During ShuttleVan's first winter at Canaveral of the Ozarks, the new spaceport was struck with 37 straight hours of freezing rain. Trapped in inches of ice with no power, no water and no heat, SVT crew turned to the ShuttleVan to survive. Internal marine batteries and inverter would prove critical during the 10 day ordeal.
