To smooth out the foam surfaces of the cockpit/nose cone section, we resorted to plastic autobody filler. Bondo is a fantastic product for forgiving errors, but it has drawbacks. It cures rock hard and requires copious sanding, generating a fine dust that permeates every corner and crevice of your workspace.

It also adds weight.
